23 STEPS
-
If you are not using ParaScope, you will have to manually validate each route from a trip-sheet.
To do this,
The first step is to open CTS Software - TripMaster and click on Trip Validation -
Click here to open the calendar popup and choose the day you'd like to validate.
-
You'll now see a list of all routes from the day you selected.
Notice the Validated route.
This route was run with ParaScope, so the data was brought over and validated automatically. -
Double click the validated route to see what correctly entered data will look like.
-
The top sections contains basic information about the route. This information is required for the trip to validate.
Click Additional Information to see the middle section. -
The additional information is not required for validation, but ParaScope will fill out this section if it has the information.
Click Additional Information again to close this section and look closer at the rider section. -
This section contains all the ride information from the Daily Schedule, as well as the status of their ride.
Click Rider Data to see a step by step view of the times and odometers of each pickup and drop-off. -
If you are using ParaScope, it will capture and fill in all of the pickup and drop-off times automatically, as well as the odometer at each stop.
Click Save to close the Rider Data pop-up window. -
Now that we've looked at an automatically validated route, we can take a closer look at the manual validation needed if you do not use ParaScope.
Double click on a Not Validated route to enter the information. -
Use a trip-sheet to fill in the required information.
Start by filling out the correct Start information, as well as the Time and Odometer of the first pickup.
This information is required. -
Next, fill in the Last Dropoff Time and Odometer, as well as the Odometer and Time when the driver ended their route at the depot, garaging site, or home.
-
If you'd like, fill in any Additional Information.
None of these items are required for validation, but can be essential for reports later.
Click to close the Additional Information section. -
Next we need to validate each ride.
Click the check box to select a ride.
Multiple can be selected, either individually, or with the check box at the top of this section, which will select all rides at once. -
We'll select both of these rides.
Rides need to be validated as one of several options, Rode, No Show, Rider Cancel, or Not Ready. -
Click Rode to validate that these rides were completed, the riders were on the vehicle and were dropped off and pickup up accordingly.
Use another option if it applies. If you made a mistake during scheduling, the Admin Cancel button acts as a delete. -
Now that the rides have the correct status assigned, click Rider Data to add the time and odometer information for each ride.
-
Fill this information out correctly according the trip sheet.
-
If you click Use Trip Times it will fill in the start and end time of the trip for each reservation.
-
This will not be accurate data, but may be useful if you only capture route start and end time for billing.
If you click Use Trip Miles it will automatically fill in the start and end odometer of the route for each reservation. -
Once you've added time and odometer data correctly from a trip sheet, you can also add wait time if applicable.
-
Once you are fininshed and you are sure the information is entered correctly, click Save.
-
This will bring you back to the validation page for this route. If all the required data has been entered then click Save to go back to Trip Validation and officially Validate this Route.
-
Now we can see the trip has been validated.
That's it, you're done! You can export your validation report by clicking on Preview Trip or Preview All.
If there are errors in validation, they can be fixed during Audits.
