34 STEPS
-
To get to Subscription Trips (beta), The first step is to open CTS Software - TripMaster and with your mouse, hover over Common Tasks
-
Click Subscription Routes (Beta)
-
Selecting a route in the Subscription Routes area at the top will show the rides and events for that trip in the middle section. Let's click Route #3 that we made in the last tutorial to see it's details.
-
Now you see the break time assigned to this route, as well as the Pre and Post-Trip checks. Rides assigned to this route will show up here as well. Currently there are no rides permanently assigned to this route.
-
To add a ride to this route, Click New Ride
Rides added here will be Subscription Reservations assigned permanently to this route. This can always be changed day by day in the Daily Schedule as well. -
A pop-up will appear with a Rider Search box. Type in the rider's name, address, or phone number to begin adding a subscription reservation.
-
Select the rider you wish to create a reservation for from the drop down menu.
-
And to begin adding the reservation, Click Create Ride
-
This process is similar to creating a Demand Reservation, but there are a few extra steps when creating a reoccurring ride.
First add a Priority time and type of Priority. -
We added the account for this rider on his master page, so we'll move on to selecting the dropoff location.
Click Select location to see the drop down menu. -
If a rider has visited a location before it will appear from this drop down menu and you can select the option from the list. If you are adding a new location, refer to the Demand Ride tutorial.
For this example we'll choose College Administration. -
This section is unique to Subscription reservations. You can choose which route to assign the ride to in the Subscription Routes box, but we'll leave it on Route #3.
-
Similar to how you can select days for a route to reoccur, you can do the same for individual trips assigned to the route. We only want Morty to take this route every Friday, so we'll deselect each day except for Friday. Start by clicking Monday.
-
It is also required to choose a Start Date. It will default to tomorrow's date. If we want this ride to begin this Friday, we'll leave this box as is. You can also suspend a ride temporarily through this screen, and choose an end date.
-
Now that we selected which day of the week this ride will be on, and it's start date, we can select it's Recurrence Rule.
-
We want this rider to ride each Friday, so we'll click Weekly but there are many other options in the drop down menu. Weekly is also selected as default.
-
To create a return reservation on the same route, and save the subscription reservation we are working on, click Save and Swap
-
Double check that the data is correct for the return reservation and save them both by clicking Save and Close
-
Now we can see the ride we added, both the original reservation and the return reservation, which will recur every Friday assigned to Route #3.
Notice the non-priority times are nonsensical, this will be fixed efficiently by the Autoschedule feature. -
Next we can look at the bottom section of the screen. Just like in your daily schedule, this is the Holding Pen. Here you see subscription reservations that have not been assigned to a Route.
This section also has a +New Ride button at the top. -
Let's filter the holding pen to only show rides for one rider. We can then add the rides to a route.
To filter, click the search box at the top of the screen, then type the name of the rider whose rides you'd like to see. -
Now that we've filtered the Holding Pen we can see 2 rides for Joan than have not been assigned to a route.
If they were assigned to a route, they would appear in the Rides area of this page.
Use the check box to select her first ride. -
If we want to select both legs of Joan's trip, we can click the other check box as well.
In the Holding Pen we can see the ride times, days, locations, mobility, and account.
Holding Pen rides are not assigned to a route yet. -
When you select rides, a new blue box will appear with the number of rides selected. Clicking the triangle in this new 2 Rides Selected box will create a drop down menu.
-
To move both rides for Joan onto the subscription route Click Move Rides.
You can also Delete subscription trips through this drop down menu. -
A new window will appear and allow us to select the route we'd like to move the rides on to. To move them to Route #3 just click the Route.
-
Click Move to finish moving these rides.
-
Now that we've moved Joan's rides we can see them in the Rides section of the page.
To stop filtering the page click Clear. This will reset the page to show all rides and routes again, instead of just Joan's. -
Now we can see Joan's rides and Morty's rides on Route #3. Each day the rides are valid (seen in the days column) they will appear in the Daily Schedule already assigned to Route #3.
-
In both the Rides and Holding Pen sections of the page, individual rides have a blue Edit box.
The triangle in the Edit box has a drop down menu that is similar to the options that appeared when multiple rides are selected.
Click to see the menu. -
Here you see an option to Move Ride in the same way we moved Joan's rides before.
There is also a Copy Ride option to make an exact duplicate of a ride.
The Delete option is available here as well. -
You can see that these options are available in the Rides section of the page, as well as the Holding Pen.
-
You can also edit any ride by clicking the Edit button.
This will open a new window just like the +New Ride button, and will allow you to edit any details of the ride.
-
That's it! You're done! You now know all functions of the Subscription Routes (beta) page.
